You may not need to wonder much about the price of Sony’s upcoming WF-1000XM4 earbuds. How Android police Reports, The Walkman Blog discovered a Slovak listing for the new buds which claims a price of € 279.90 or about $ 340.
That price likely includes tax and is not guaranteed to reflect final cost, but it still suggests that the WF-1000XM4 will be one of the more expensive sets of true wireless earbuds on the market. Sony originally priced the current-generation XM3 at $ 230, while Apple’s AirPods Pro officially carry a sticker at $ 249.

Sony may have reasons to increase the price of the WF-1000XM4 beyond its brand name, provided the listing is correct. They offer the company’s normally strong active noise cancellation, high-resolution audio support, 360-degree sound, and smart features like auto-pause playback for conversations. With the ANC on, you can also listen for eight hours (12 off) and an additional 16 hours using the battery compartment. These buds may last long enough to help you set a typical work day to music.
It is still uncertain when Sony will be releasing its latest earbuds, although a retailer site suggests they could be out soon. This timing can be important. If Sony can bring out the WF-1000XM4 in the near future, it could distract potential listeners from the competition’s older models – and the price tag may not be that big a stumbling block.
