- Some Google Pixel users reported that their phones did not switch to daylight saving time.
- It appears to be a bug related to the use of network provided time.
Daylight saving time started last weekend in the US and Canada, but it appears that some Google Pixel phones haven’t actually switched due to a particular bug.
Multiple reddit threads (h / t: 9to5Google) noticed the problem as some Pixel phones just didn’t make a leap into the new era.
It didn’t seem limited to any specific model either, as Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, Pixel 4-Series, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a, 5G, and Pixel 5 owners reported the problem.
It appears that the “Use network provided time” switch could be responsible for this error, with some affected users having this option enabled.
Even so, it is recommended that users restart their phones to fix the problem. You may also want to set the time manually if things still don’t work right. This can of course be a small consolation if your alarm did not go off at the right time or if you missed an appointment.
