Would you like a gift idea for Mother’s Day? If mom likes coffee, she would love it: Atlas Coffee is a subscription service that delivers beans from countries around the world. I only enjoyed a cup from Burundi this morning; Indonesia comes next.
Sounds good? For a limited time, Cheapskate readers can Save $ 10 in the first month of an Atlas Coffee gift subscription – That means the first bag costs only $ 8.95 (including shipping). Use code MothersDay10 (should be applied automatically at checkout). The following months cost $ 14 per bag plus $ 4.95 for shipping. And the gift can run as long as you want. (I say do at least three months. It’s mom!)

The Atlas Coffee Club offers its name true beans from all over the world: Brazil, Costa Rica, Myanmar, Vietnam and so on. The company pays “well above market prices” for lots of micro coffee in order to “ensure ethically sustainable agricultural practices”. Still, the price you end up paying per bag is the same as what you would pay in pretty much any independent coffee shop. (And let’s not forget is home brewing path cheaper than paying for coffee outside.)

You can choose one or two bags per delivery and opt for delivery every two or four weeks. You can also choose mom’s roasting preference and choose coffee with whole beans or pre-ground coffee.
I particularly like that each delivery includes tasting notes, brewing tips and a postcard from the country of origin. It’s like a wine club for coffee – and definitely a great gift idea for mom. (See our complete Gift guide for Mother’s Day 2020
if you want other options.)
