In our experience (including that of Executive Editor Kris Carlon), the Secretlab Omega is one of the few gaming chairs in its class that lives up to the hype. The sturdy construction, the almost flat lying bed and the adjustable ergonomics make it suitable for everything from extended gaming sessions to a long day at work. The relatively subdued basic design should feel just as suitable for a home office as it is for a flashy game setup.
There are Limits. The Omega is intended for anyone under six feet tall and weighing less than 242 pounds. If you are significantly taller or heavier, you should opt for the Titan or Titan XL. We’d add that it’s not the most posh (Noblechairs’ Icon is a good example) or the most advanced, although Napa leather is an option.
Secretlab’s Omega, however, is one of the better options for balanced gaming chairs. The cost can go up slightly if you want premium seating. For example, Logitech’s Embody chair, made by Herman Miller, will cost you a staggering $ 1,495. You can get more for that money, but arguably the Omega is better value for most people.
