Save $200 on Vizio’s excellent 65-inch M-Series Quantum TV
You don’t have to spend a small fortune to get a TV with quantum dots. The technology that sounds like it is little more than a marketing gimmick, but actually delivers an excellent picture. Last year Vizio introduced a number of models with quantum dots. As practical CNET tests have shown, they offer great colors and brightness at a medium price. And right now Costco has a bumblebee from a sale on the M-Series 65-inch 4K UHD quantum television – you can buy it for $ 500 while stocks last. That’s a solid $ 200 less than the regular price. In fact, the cheapest set I can find on Amazon is $ 700.
It’s such a good deal that I was worried that Costco would get on our nerves quickly and put the M657-G0 up for sale. This is the lower 65-inch model of the M series with slightly less impressive technical data. But no, this is the M658-G1, which has 600 nits of peak power (150% more than the M657-G0) and 90 separate local dimming zones, compared to just 20. Sales or no, this is the one you have to get.
$ 500 is a surprisingly good deal for this television. The price is literally below the 55-inch version and has an excellent color that is comparable to the much more expensive models like that Samsung Q7. Unfortunately, this isn’t a Roku TV – if only all TVs were Roku – but Vizios Smartcast 3.0 is not a terrible Smart TV solution and works with Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit which many people appreciate. There is also voice control via Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant as well as four HDMI ports, Ethernet, USB and a number of other connections.
Can you get a better TV? Absolutely – but you will pay for the privilege. However, this 65-inch M series was already a good value. $ 200 cheaper, it’s essentially a bargain. This deal ends on May 10th, provided the deliveries take so long.
