Samsung’s next big unpacked event is planned for August 5th. As is the trend these days, the unveiling will only take place online and will follow in the footsteps of major virtual events like the like. Microsoft and Apple. It’s Samsung’s first crack in format. The company just managed to launch the Galaxy S20 in February under the shutdown cable in front of COVID-19.
Headlining next month’s event will undoubtedly be the next version of Samsung’s popular phablet line. The Galaxy Note S20 has leaked a bit online because of Samsung. The most notable opportunity was earlier this month when the company’s Russian location briefly released a copper-colored version of the Note 20 Ultra. Appropriately, the invitation to the event shows a copper S-Pen dripping into a large, similarly colored puddle.
The premium version of the handset has a folded zoom lens, similar to the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Additional leaks seem to confirm some minor changes to the design of the handset, including swapping some keys and moving the S-Pen slot to the left of the charging port. Other details will almost certainly be known by August 5th, because that’s exactly how things go. There will also be a number of other devices for the event. After all, Samsung likes to pack a lot in Unpacked. Accessories, audio products and wearables are candidates.
In particular, Samsung announced that it would hold its own virtual event in early September. The company originally planned to attend the IFA, but ultimately – and understandably – thought better about it. Meanwhile, the event on August 5th begins at 10 a.m.ET / 7 a.m.PT. It will be available through Samsung.com.
