Samsung is providing support for hardware blockchain wallets for its Galaxy devices. With the update, those trading virtual assets from third-party wallets can do so through the Samsung Blockchain Wallet on their devices.

Samsung’s blockchain wallet is practically a focal point for managing multiple assets in different wallets. Users can connect, import, and manage supported wallets and currencies through the Samsung solution. This includes “Bitcoin, Ethereum, ERC tokens, Tron (TRX) and TRC tokens,” as the company announced in a press release.

The wallet will be introduced on the Galaxy S10 series in 2019 and uses Samsung’s Knox security platform. It can also access DApps through the Samsung Blockchain Keystore Framework.

Samsung notes that devices with Android 9 Pie or later will support the update, but this does not include all phones in all regions. Interestingly, they include the Galaxy A51 5G, S10 Lite, and Galaxy A71. A full list of supported devices and cryptocurrencies can be found here.
