TL; DR

  • Samsung’s Android 12-based One UI 4.0 Beta is now available in India.
  • Owners of the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus or S21 Ultra can register for the beta program via the Samsung Members App.
  • The update weighs over 2GB and brings some new features with it.

Samsung’s One UI 4.0 beta rollout didn’t go smoothly. The company postponed its debut for a few days in early September, which subsequently delayed the availability of the beta build in other regions. Now Indians can finally get a taste of Android 12 on their Samsung flagship.

Samsung is now expanding its One UI 4.0 beta program to users in India (h / t SamMobile). Owners of the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus or S21 Ultra can now get the latest beta build.

What is noteworthy is that Indian users are not getting the first beta build, but are skipping to the second build, which only launched this week. This means that the 2.36 GB update with the firmware G996Bxxx3ZUJ1 offers many new functions, including Color Theme Smarts based on the Material You language of Android 12, resizable picture-in-picture functions for videos and edge panels -Optimizations.
