Samsung mocks Apple’s lack of charger, but how long until it backpedals?
- A Samsung Facebook page mocked Apple for taking the charger out of the iPhone box.
- Samsung previously made fun of Apple for dropping the 3.5mm connector just to do the same.
Apple unveiled its iPhone 12 series earlier this week, where it made another polarizing decision by taking the charger out of its iPhone boxes. Additionally, those who want a charger will have to spend an additional $ 20.
Samsung picked up this move on its Caribbean Facebook page and ridiculed Apple for taking the charger out of the box. Check out a screenshot of the post below.
It’s interesting that the company ridiculed Apple for making a decision when that tactic failed massively before. In particular, Samsung previously posted videos mocking the lack of a headphone jack for the iPhone, only to ditch the port a few years later with the Galaxy Note 10 series itself.
Samsung then deleted these videos, ostensibly to avoid looking like hypocrites. However, third-party users were still able to save and upload these clips.
How long will it be for the Korean manufacturer to remove chargers from its phone booths and pretend this latest social media post never happened? Well, Korea ET news Earlier this year it was reported that Samsung was already discussing the idea of removing the charger from some phones in 2021. In other words, we assume the company will silently delete this latest post if or if it does the same with its own phones.
Samsung isn’t the only company making fun of Apple for taking chargers like Xiaomi out of the box did the same on twitter (see screenshot above). It’s pretty interesting that Xiaomi would say that if it has been dropping headphones out of the box for years, it wouldn’t let anything out of the box, which was likely a cost-saving measure.
