Samsung kicks off One UI 3.0 beta in one market
- Samsung has announced the beta availability of One UI 3.0 in Korea.
- There is still no word about greater availability.
Samsung’s One UI 3.0 debuted as a developer beta last month, and it gives us a good idea of what to expect from the Android skin. Now it looks like a public beta of some kind is finally starting.
TizenHelp found an official announcement for the availability of One UI 3.0 Beta on Samsung’s Korean community page. This, of course, means that the One UI 3.0 beta is currently limited to the brand’s home market.
The announcement states that currently only owners of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra can participate in the program. So if you own a device from the Galaxy Note 20 series, a Galaxy S20 FE or other current Samsung flagships, you have to sit tight for the time being.
Samsung Korea also warns that initially only a limited number of people are allowed to sign up for the One UI 3.0 beta program. After that, more jobs will be opened. To register for the beta, you need to open the Samsung Members app and sign in via a notice in this app. Once you do, you should be able to download the beta software from the phone’s update menu.
There’s no word on when the beta program will roll out in other markets, but Samsung suggested that a stable release could come after November 2020. Even if you can’t get your hands on the beta software, the finished product could land flat on your phone in no time. Even so, we’ll update the article as the beta program expands to additional regions.
