Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3 could be much cheaper

Samsung is slated to launch the foldable Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 later this year, and popular belief is that we shouldn’t see a huge price difference when compared to the rather expensive Z Flip and Z Fold 2.

However, SamMobile now reports that the new foldables could be “up to 20% cheaper” than the previous models. The outlet didn’t cite a source for the claim, but they generally have a great track record when it comes to Samsung-related leaks.

That said, the Galaxy Z Flip launched at $ 1,380 and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 launched at $ 2,000. So a 20% cheaper price means an introductory price of ~ $ 1,100 for the Z Flip 3 and ~ $ 1,600 for the Z Fold 3.

This would be a significant drop in prices for Samsung’s foldables and foldables in general if this news is confirmed. It would also help make foldable phones more popular, although we hope to see even cheaper foldable phones from Samsung to really make mainstream popularity.

So what can we expect from the two upcoming foldables? Well, recently leaked materials have shown the Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 at length. In the case of the former, we have a larger external display, two rear cameras, and Gorilla Glass Victus on the outside. Meanwhile, the leak suggested that the Z Fold 3 was getting an under-display selfie camera and a triple rear-view camera system.
