The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 has been exposed to a stream of never-ending leaks for some time. The latest tip may just have revealed everything there is to know about the phone. New information comes from WinFuture reveals key specifications, features, and more of the phone.
Let’s start with the build of the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The 158.2mm long device is just 6.4mm thick and 128.1mm wide when open. When closed, it thickens to 14.4 mm, but is almost halved in width at 67.1 mm. Overall, it is slightly smaller than the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The leak also suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be a bit lighter than its predecessor at 271 grams. We assume that the gains made here will largely go unnoticed by users. In terms of durability, the phone can withstand up to 200,000 wrinkles with no problem.
This body houses two displays. The deck screen has a 6.2-inch 120 Hz display with a resolution of 2,260 x 832 pixels. The folding screen measures 7.6 inches with a resolution of 2,208 x 1,768. The cover display is also covered with Gorilla Glass Victus.
As for the core specs, the phone will reportedly use the Snapdragon 888 SoC, come with 12GB of RAM and a choice of 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. There is no microSD card slot.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3: cameras
What about these shooters? WinFuture apparently confirms the 4MP under-display camera with an f / 1.8 aperture and rather large 2.0 μm pixels. There is also a 10 MP cover selfie camera. There are three 12 MP snapper on the back. One is mated to a 123-degree ultra-wide angle while another takes care of telephoto photography. The main camera also has OIS with 1.4 μm pixels.
Finally, other key specs include a 4,400 mAh battery, stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos, S Pen support, IPX8 water resistance, and support for wireless charging. The phone appears to start with Android 11 running One UI 3.1.
WinFuture suggests the phone will land in three colorways: Phantom Green, Phantom Black, and Phantom Silver.
It’s the most comprehensive spec dump of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 to date. If the German release’s track record is anything, we can probably expect the foldable to have many, if not all, of these specs. Still, Samsung has not yet confirmed any information about its foldable phones. You’ll have to wait until August 11th for the top-to-bottom official reveal.
