Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 design uncovered in raft of new renders

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Render 1

TL; DR

  • New renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 have been leaked.
  • The pictures show the main design changes, including a two-tone design, a larger outdoor display and vertical rear-view cameras.
  • The phone is also said to have a camera under the display.

An alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 render arrived last week showing the phone’s second screen redesign. However, that leak mainly focused on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 sibling. Now the Samsung pinball machine does not share anything in the spotlight of a new major leak that came from GizNext.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3: design

According to the publication, the phone will come in a variety of colors. These hues supposedly include beige, black, dark blue, dark green, gray, light purple, pink, and white. All colors will appear to have a two-tone design, with the second screen and outer vertical camera array placed in a black panel. This gives the phone an eye-catching look from the back, especially when paired with a lighter color scheme.

In addition to the colorways, the images also illuminate other design elements. On the right side of the phone there is a fingerprint sensor on the side and a volume rocker. Samsung also apparently uses the same folding system on the device as the first Z Flip. At the base of the phone is a USB-C port and a single speaker grille. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack, but that’s to be expected.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3: specifications

The specs reportedly include a 1.9-inch cover display – much larger than the 1.2-inch screen on the first Galaxy Z Flip. The internal screen remains the same at 6.7 inches and an aspect ratio of 25: 9. However, this display can include a camera under the display. There is no visible hole on the display, so this shot seems very likely.

In addition to these design features, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also expected to use the Snapdragon 888 SoC in combination with a larger battery. The specifications of the rear view cameras and the camera under the display are currently unknown. We know from an FCC list that the phone has 9W wireless power transfer support and wireless charging, NFC and MST support. However, it is unclear whether UWB will also be there.

However, details come thick and fast. So expect these specs to show up soon. The flagship Samsung Flip Phone is expected to debut along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Watch 4, and Galaxy Buds 2 at a rumored event in August.

In the meantime, what do you think of the design of the Galaxy Z Flip 3? Do you love the changes or do you hate them? Let us know by voting in the poll above.
