- Some features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 have been leaked.
- It could have a familiar user interface even with Wear OS at the forefront.
- The smartwatch may also get a feature inspired by the Apple Watch.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is to replace Tizen with Google’s Wear OS. Now a fresh leak out SamMobile has released some more details on how the company plans to deal with the operating system change so that the new smartwatch keeps a familiar feel.
According to the publication, Samsung could release three versions of its smartwatch this year. One is expected to come with a “classic” design while the other two, including an Active model, could have a sporty look. We heard the same thing a while back when a leak revealed that Samsung could launch the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Active in August.
According to the new information, these smartwatches will run Wear OS, but Samsung will reportedly put a user interface over the software. This is apparently going to be an entirely new version of Samsung’s One UI for wearable devices. The Galaxy Watch 4 and the associated smartwatches could have a “similar appearance” even if the operating system changes.
Elsewhere, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will have a walkie-talkie function. We’ve already seen this on the Apple Watch, which allows users to send and receive short voice messages between smartwatches.
Unfortunately, the new leak doesn’t reveal any other functionality of the Galaxy Watch 4. Previous leaks have indicated battery capacity, sizes, sensors, and more. Here is where you can catch up on all the Galaxy Watch 4 rumors.
