TL; DR

  • A number of press renders have just been leaked showing the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
  • This seems like a real successor to the Galaxy Watch 3, at least in terms of design aesthetics.
  • The renderings appear to show a rotating bezel, although this cannot be confirmed from just the images.

This morning we published an article about a possible “Classic” version of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4. Now, just hours later, we have a full set of leaked press renders for the watch.

The renders leave little doubt that this watch will sell as the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. This is both a departure and a return for Samsung. Although the nickname Classic was used in the days of Galaxy Gear, the Galaxy Watch series only had the Vanilla and Active models. However, this Galaxy Watch 4 Classic appears to be a true sequel to the Galaxy Watch 3.

It now looks like the regular Galaxy Watch 4 will be a successor to the Galaxy Watch Active 2. This may all be confusing, but it makes a lot more sense now that we’ve seen the renders for both of them.

With that in mind, check them out for yourself below.

According to the source of these leaks (Android headlines) there could be three sizes of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic: 42mm, 44mm and 46mm. This is a bit different than last year when we saw the Galaxy Watch 3 in just two sizes: 41mm and 45mm. It looks like you won’t have this smaller size, but you could have more choices to find the best overall fit.

The watch now seems to come in three neutral colors: black, gray and white. Only the black model has a unique case (black) while the other two have bare metal cases. Android headlines You have the choice between stainless steel and aluminum constructions.

On the back of the watch we can see some supposed specs. Reportedly, it’s rated 5 ATM for water resistance and certified as MIL-STD-810G for durability.

The big question, however, is whether or not this bezel is rotating. This is one of the main features of Samsung’s premium watches, and the leaked renders of the Galaxy Watch 4 startled some fans into thinking they are gone. These leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic suggest a rotating bezel is included, but it’s impossible to tell by just looking. However, we are optimistic.
