- The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is now receiving a new update.
- The update brings improvements for the health app, a new hand washing app and SmartThings Find.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 has received a software buff thanks to a new update. Speckled by TizenHelpThe update weighs around 74 MB and brings the firmware version R840XXU1BUA8 to the smartwatch.
After the wearable rolled out its EKG smarts and blood pressure monitoring in more countries in January, it now gets a more useful feature – SmartThings Find. SmartThings Find might not be the most exciting addition on paper, and it allows users to find their smartwatch in case it should ever slip off their arm. It should be a boon to those who misplace their devices frequently.
Improvements have also been made to Samsung’s health function. Group walking challenges, shorter exercise detection times, and more home fitness programs are added to the app.
Finally, a hand washing app arrives on the Galaxy Watch 3. The app recognizes and automatically recognizes when the wearer starts washing hands. Samsung also states that the update brings “improved system stability and reliability”.
TizenHelp states that the update should be available to users in India, South Korea, and the United States. You can check for a pending update through the wearable app on your phone.
