Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE official, but might see delay
Samsung officially launched a new tablet today (h / t SamMobile). With the “Fan Edition” branding, it’s a more budget-conscious version of the company’s successful Galaxy Tab S7 series.
Those of you familiar with the Fan Edition nickname will know how this works. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE looks very similar to the normal Tab S7, but reduces some functions in order to lower the price. Samsung has had great success with this strategy in smartphones, with the Galaxy S20 FE being our favorite phone of 2020. However, this is the first time Samsung has used the branding on a tablet.

Unfortunately, the tablet is currently only officially available in Russia. Additionally, a report from South Korea (Samsung’s homeland) suggests it might be exclusive to Russia for a while. According to the report, the ongoing global chip shortage could prevent Samsung from making a wider release.
The tablet starts at 49,990 Russian rubles (~ 696) for the 4GB / 64GB LTE version. There’s also a 6GB / 128GB LTE version for 54,990 rubles (~ $ 765). These prices are strange given that the Galaxy Tab S7 itself starts at $ 649. However, pricing for different countries is rarely translated unilaterally.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE: Specifications and Features
The Galaxy Tab S7 FE comes with a 12.4-inch display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor that is supposed to deliver a solid (but still mediocre) experience. It has a single 5 MP camera on the front and an 8 MP shooter on the back.
Android 11 supplies the tablet with power and there is a 10,090 mAh battery inside, which is charged with 45 W via a cable.
An S Pen is included with the tablet, the same one that comes with the Mainline-Tab S7 models. However, the tablet has no space to store the tablet internally – nor does it have a headphone jack.
For the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, you have a few color options including black, silver, green, and pink.
