The Galaxy Tab A7 runs at the upper end of the entry-level segment. There are two types of memory and different colors, including gray, silver and gold. The 32GB model is much more attractively priced, though many would consider 32GB to be a limited amount of storage.
The basic functions of this attractive tablet include a 10.4-inch display, a Snapdragon processor with 3 GB of RAM, a huge battery, four speakers, expandable memory and a headphone jack. It offers a lot for the money.
Alternatives at similar prices are the Lenovo Smart Tab M10 HD and Amazon Fire 8 HD Plus. If you’re looking to spend a little more, Apple’s entry-level Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and iPad are also worth a look.
What is good?

The display is very, very good. It measures 10.4 inches across and offers an HD resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels, which is better than Full HD. It’s by far the best screen I’ve seen in the entry-level tablet segment. I found it a pleasure to use day in and day out. It was bright, clean, and colorful, with sharp text and clear icons. The display is great for watching movies and TV shows.
Samsung has put together some excellent hardware here. The Galaxy Tab A7 has a metal case with all the details. In addition to the spacious display, you have four speakers, USB-C for charging, a headphone jack and a microSD slot for memory cards with up to 1 TB. It’s nice that it comes in three colors, more so than most tablets in its class. Samsung also offers first-party accessories such as: B. a folio case that completes the experience.

The processing speeds are above average for this class. The tablet contains a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor with 3 GB of RAM. This combo was hearty enough to easily aid the tablet in most tasks. Everyday activities such as email, surfing, YouTube and social networks did not burden the tablet at all. When I tested the popular racing game Asphalt 9, I saw dramatically better performance than the Lenovo Smart Tab M10 HD with MediaTek.

The battery life is fantastic. With a 7,040 mAh battery, you’ll have more than enough juice to last a long day. The Tab A7 increased slightly over 10 hours of video playback, which is above average for this device class.
Samsung nailed the speakers down. With four speakers on board and Dolby Atmos to be tuned through headphones, you can expect great sound. I was very pleased with the overall response from the speakers, which produced a rich, detailed sound. Although you can plug straight into the headphone jack, I found the speakers great on their own.

What’s not so good?

At well over a pound, it’s a little heavier than competing tablets. Combine that with the 16: 9 extended form factor and you have a whiteboard that some may find difficult to use comfortably. This is true of children in two ways.
Speaking of kids, there’s no kids mode or dedicated space on the tablet for kids’ content. You can download Google’s Family Link from the Play Store, but Samsung could have put something together.

The Galaxy Tab A7 is running Android 10 and Samsung One UI 2.5 during the September security update. This is not the latest version from Google, nor is it the latest UI variant from Samsung. It’s certainly not a new security patch. Software updates, also in the area of security, are carried out less frequently with the Tab A7 than with a Galaxy smartphone in the middle to upper price range. It’s not a bad platform for the tablet, but Samsung’s One UI 3 (the current version) is a lot better.

Don’t rely on the cameras. With the exception of Apple’s most expensive iPad, I haven’t found a tablet with just good cameras, let alone great ones. The 8-megapixel camera of the Tab A7 and the 5-megapixel rear-view camera are passable at best. They do the work in a pinch when you have nothing else to use, but whatever it is, your phone is sure to take better pictures than this tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is the most complete entry-level Android tablet I’ve tested. While I found a few things to complain about, overall it offers a good experience across the board. With a sturdy chassis, great screen, great battery life, and other on-board amenities, the Tab A7 has almost it all.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is the most complete and affordable Android tablet to date.
The Tab A7 costs a little more than budget tablets, but the extra money is well spent. It’s not a professional machine, but for everyday activities like watching videos, surfing the web, and even gaming, it does the job and a lot more.
