Samsung Galaxy S22 renders show not much changed
TL; DR
- A reliable leaker showed us renderings of the Samsung Galaxy S22.
- The design is not too different from the Galaxy S21.
- However, the device looks smaller and thinner than this year’s model.
Although the Ultra model has a few differences – including an S Pen slot – the Base and Plus models seem like more of an iteration than anything else. The design stays the same and there doesn’t seem to be any new hardware elements.

Samsung Galaxy S22 renders
Right from the start you can see all the familiar design elements of the Galaxy S21. The rear view camera module with three lenses remains practically unchanged. The aluminum rails look unchanged at all and the display section of the selfie camera is in the same place as on this year’s model.
The only real difference we can tell is that the phone is likely physically smaller. The dimensions given by Hemmerstoffer are 146 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm. That’s definitely smaller than the Galaxy S21, which measures 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9 mm. Does being thinner and smaller mean a decrease in battery capacity or a loss of other functionality?
We’ll have to wait and see how the leaks develop to learn more about the phone. However, if you had your sights set on a Samsung Galaxy S22, now you know what to wait for.
