Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus design arrives in shiny silver colorway

  • New Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus renders have been leaked.
  • The renders contain a number of design cues that we’ve seen in previous leaks.
  • These include the redesigned rear camera array and the punch hole selfie camera.

Other suspected renders of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus damaged the cover and reflect design features that were present in previous models.

Arrived through a collaboration between Twitter Tipster @ Xleaks7 and Italian side PigtouThe renderings contain design elements that were seen in previous leaks. The main difference here is the polished silver paint used. It’s unclear whether Samsung is ready to lighten up the S20’s current gray paint job, or if it’s a decision by the designers. Either way, it’s pretty hot.

Let’s get to the actual design. The render includes a redesigned rear camera array that takes up much of the top-left corner of the phone. However, there is not enough space for the LED flash, so it is placed to the right of the three large lenses. One of these lenses reportedly hides a 64-megapixel primary sensor with two additional 12-megapixel sensors to provide assistance.

On the right edge of the Galaxy S21 Plus are apparently the volume rocker (which seems to be quite high up in the phone) and the power button. Samsung will likely keep the fingerprint sensor in the display too.

At the front, the selfie camera cutout is located fairly close to the upper bezel. The bezels on this particular render are extremely thin. Previous hardware leaks suggest a 6.8-inch display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A 4,000 mAh battery is said to keep either an Exynos 2100 or a Snapdragon 875 chipset alive in the various global models.

While not much is specified in this leak, precise dimensions are given. The Galaxy S21 Plus is said to be 161.55 mm long, 75.6 mm wide and only 7.86 mm thick. This would make it a little shorter and a little wider than the Galaxy S20 Plus. Anyone major and Samsung could ruin the flagship’s ease of use.

It is still believed that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S21 series in January 2021 – we haven’t seen any evidence to the contrary so far. The Korean company has not yet given a specific date.
