Samsung Galaxy S20 plus review black back on book 3

  • According to reports, Samsung is planning to revive Bixby Voice Unlock as a Galaxy S21 feature.
  • It could at least initially only apply to the phones.
  • The feature wouldn’t be the most secure, but it could be useful.

You may still have a way to unlock the Samsung Galaxy S21 (also known as the Galaxy S30) when it arrives in 2021. SamMobile Sources claim Samsung is bringing back Bixby Voice Unlock for the Galaxy S21 as an alternative when the fingerprint reader isn’t an option.

How it would differ from before is not clear. However, Samsung is reportedly planning to debut voice sharing exclusively on the Galaxy S21 until the One UI version (possibly 3.1) is ready for other devices. You would choose Bixby from your phone’s security settings for the lock screen.

As SamMobile This would not be the safest sign-in option. Someone with a high quality recording of your voice could theoretically unlock your phone. Fingerprint readers or the old iris scanner are usually harder to fool. However, text-to-speech is more secure than simple face unlock on many Android phones and can be helpful when you can’t touch or even look at your phone.

Samsung wouldn’t rely heavily on voice sharing when selling the Galaxy S21. If the rumors are true, the new lineup will rely on camera upgrades like the second generation 108MP sensor in the Ultra, as well as improved 4K and 8K video recording. You could expect a next-gen Snapdragon chip, and the Ultra could introduce S Pen support, which could mark the end of the Galaxy Note lineup.

You might not have to wait long to see it work either. Several rumors suggest that the next galaxy could hit the market as early as January. While there is a chance Samsung will revert to its usual February or March release schedule, it may only be a few weeks before you find out if the report is true.
