Update: November 11, 2020 (7:10 a.m. ET): Samsung released the beta update for One UI 3.0 for the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G. SamMobile Reports. Before getting your hopes up, however, it should be noted that this update appears to be limited to Korea for now.

The update with version number N976NKSU1ZTK6 also includes the November 2020 security patch. According to a screenshot obtained from the wall socket, it appears to weigh around 2,060MB.

The news of the update also comes a few hours after Samsung confirmed on its Korean forum that the One UI 3.0 Beta will be available for the Note 10 series, S10 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G . So it stands to reason that the rest of these phones can’t be far behind the Note 10 Plus 5G.

The Galaxy Note 10 line was launched in August 2019 with the then latest version of Android, Android 9 Pie. As with most of the flagship Android devices, they are expected to receive at least two major updates in their lifetime.

The first major update confirmed is Android 10, which was publicly released in early September. Soon after, Samsung started a beta program for its flagships, including the Note 10 line. This beta program lasted a few months before Samsung started rolling out Android 10 in a stable form.

At this point, almost every device in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 family, including the Star Wars model and Sprint version, should have the Android 10 update. All latecomers should receive it by the end of January 2020. This update will contain One UI 2.0 based on Android 10.

Samsung also beat Google with the January 2020 security patch and carried it over to the Note 10 before Google rolled it out to the Pixel 4. The Samsung update game has been on the cutting edge lately, and the Note 10 is the sixth device to come out with the latest security patch.

According to some Reddit posts, Canadian Galaxy Note 10 devices received the latest One UI 2.0 update with Android 10 on January 6th. Telus, Bell, Rogers and Sasktel devices received the update first, and other carrier devices soon followed.

Two days later a tipster was there Android police Let the world know that Samsung has started releasing the latest stable Android 10 update for unlocked Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G devices in the UK. On the same day, thanks to a post on Reddit, the update for Indonesian variants of the Note 10 series was also released.

The security update for March 2020 was officially introduced for Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus devices in the first week of March. It landed on devices in the Netherlands, Great Britain, Spain and Hungary. There wasn’t anything particularly exciting about the update, but improved security is always welcome.

On April 21, Samsung made the camera functions of the Galaxy S20 available for Canadian Note 10 devices. Features include: single shot mode, night hyperlapse, custom filters, pro video mode and more. The update also introduced new features for quick sharing and music sharing for the phones. With Quick Share, Galaxy Note 10 users can easily share photos, videos, and other large files with nearby contacts, while Music Sharing allows other users to play their music on Bluetooth devices connected to your Galaxy Note 10. On June 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 phones received the June 2020 security patches (via SamMobile). The patch rollout began a few days earlier with Qualcomm-based devices here in the US, but was then rolled out worldwide, including for Exynos-based models. This new update not only contained the security patch from June 2020, but also a new feature: the quick toggle between “Call and Text on Other Devices”. In connection with another Samsung device (e.g. a tablet) you can use this function to receive calls / texts on the secondary device without any problems.

In July, Samsung rolled out the July 2020 security update for Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus devices (as reported by) SamMobile). The wireless upgrades for the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus included build numbers N970FXXS5CTFA and N975FXXS5CTFA, respectively. These updates only affected the security of the devices until July 1st and did not provide any further functions.

Samsung rolled out the One UI 2.5 update for the Note 10 family (including the Lite and 5G models) in September 2020. SamMobile reported. This version of Samsung’s custom Android skin brought a number of new features, including wireless DeX support, new Pro video camera features, additional options for the Samsung keyboard, and much more.
