Samsung Galaxy M32 specs leak: A sideways step rather than an upgrade?
- The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M32 have apparently been leaked.
- The specs show a phone that still has a lot in common with its predecessor.
Samsung’s Galaxy M series has joined the A series and has been delivering pretty good budget phones for a while now. It looks like the Galaxy M32 is the newest device to hit the market and the specs have just leaked.
Tipster Ishan Agarwal Leaked in connection with the Galaxy M32 specs 91Mobile, and it doesn’t look like a definite upgrade to the Galaxy M31. The new phone apparently has a 6.4-inch FHD + OLED panel with notch, a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, 4 GB to 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB to 128 GB of expandable storage and a 6,000 mAh battery.
The photo duties are reportedly handled by a quad camera setup that includes a 48 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a pair of 5 MP sensors for macro shots and depth effects. A 20-megapixel camera is supposed to process selfies and video calls.

Taken together, the Galaxy M32 appears to be very similar to the Galaxy M31 launched last year. The old phone has an FHD + OLED panel, the same 6,000 mAh battery, and more RAM in the base model. We also see a similar rear camera setup, albeit with a 64 MP primary sensor on the older phone.
A major difference is the use of a Helio G85 SoC in the new phone versus an Exynos 9611 in the M31. The MediaTek chipset uses newer CPU cores (two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores) compared to the older cores (four Cortex-A73 and four A53 cores) of the Exynos processor. This should give it the edge in terms of single-core performance, but the older phone could still have the edge in multi-core performance because of the heavier cores.
Samsung has also released official images of the device (shown at the top of the page), revealing a square rear camera body, a striped pattern on the back, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. We definitely hope the Galaxy M32 is cheaper than its predecessor as it doesn’t look like a big upgrade.
