Samsung Galaxy leaks: S21 series detailed, no Note in 2021? And more tech news!

1. Huge drop in the Samsung Galaxy S21 and, wait, no Galaxy Note in 2021?

A double shot of the Samsung Galaxy news posted over the weekend and today.

Initially Max Weinbach at Android policeWith some significant leaks in the Samsung Galaxy S21 in the upcoming version (which is apparently called the S21 rather than the S30).

The second is that earlier this year, two new sources confirmed reports from Korea that Samsung will not continue the Galaxy Note series. No Galaxy Note 21 or Note 30.

About the S21 leaks, which are so big that I can hardly round them all up. But there are some big details:

• Here, too, we expect three models from the new S series, including the S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra.
• According to the leaks, the S21 will have a 6.2-inch display, the plus at 6.7 inches and the Ultra will have a 6.8-inch display
• Each is expected to run the latest Snapdragon or Exynos SoC, which I have already described a number of times as important new items for the flagships of 2021.
• Most of this is expected, but this is where it gets a little more unexpected: The S21 Ultra appears to support an S-pen, but it doesn’t come with an S-pen, but some official device cases may come with a pen.
• On the front of the camera, the S21 Ultra has all the booty: a 108MP main camera sensor, a 10MP 3X optical telephoto lens, a 10MP “super-optical” 10x telephoto lens and with a fourth lens a 12MP ultrawide.
• 5G will be the standard for each, with Wi-Fi 6E coming to the Ultra, a feature we anticipate rolling out to more devices for less-congested, high-speed, low-latency Wi-Fi in the 6 GHz spectrum.
• The battery sizes for the phones will reportedly be 4,000 mAh for the Galaxy S21, 4,800 mAh for the S21 Plus, and 5,000 mAh for the S21 Ultra.
• Finally, the report also includes information on phone colors with the usual black, as well as copper variants with subtle hues and more.
• The main missing detail was the pricing. No information, and I have limited speculation on where Samsung might rate the three models. I would be amazed if the Ultra was under $ 999 based on recent history.

And the details of the Galaxy Note:

• Again Max Weinbach with the detailed, note on Twitter Samsung is expected to offer four Galaxy S21 phones and three leaflets in 2021. This includes the three Galaxy S21 variants from above as well as a Galaxy S21 FE and three leaflets: Z Flip 3, Z Fold 3 and Z Fold FE.
• Instead of the note, the Z-fold 3 can have an S-pin.
• It all means that we lack definitive evidence. But the case against the Note piles up: there weren’t much differences from the S-Line, the Fold and Flip 2 are perfectly solid when compared to the early editions and competitors, and the Note may not be worth marketing expenses in comparison.

4. The latest monitor from Samsung is a Smart TV with PC functions: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and Wireless DeX (Engadget).

6. The mini teardown for the iPhone 12 shows what Apple had to downsize in order to make a smaller flagship: the battery, Taptic Engine, speakers are smaller and differences between US and international versions of the device (i attach it).

7.Apple’s macOS 11 Big Sur has caused a privacy storm (iPhone in Canda). Apple has responded and stated its protection and will stop logging IP addresses and launch an encrypted protocol in 2021. More than the tingling sensation when something is wrong. Strange that Apple didn’t think people couldn’t worry about that …
