Samsung Galaxy F62 to launch in India in 2021
- Samsung will launch a new smartphone in its Galaxy F series.
- The phone should be called the Galaxy F62.
Samsung is about to add another device to its Galaxy F series. According to 91Mobile and tipster Ishan Agarwal, the phone is called the Samsung Galaxy F62.
The news of the existence of the Galaxy F62 comes after the debut of the first F-series phone – the Galaxy F41 – in October and tips for the Galaxy F12’s future launch.
Not much is known about the Galaxy F62 right now. It has the model number SM-E625F and an F-series phone. It will likely hit the market as an India-only device like the Galaxy F41. The phone may also be another exclusive Flipkart phone.
The Samsung Galaxy F-series was originally hyped as the camera-first-phone series, but the line has arguably focused more on large battery capacities and screen sizes. For example, it is believed that the Galaxy F12 contains a 7,000 mAh battery. The Galaxy F41 debuted with a 6,000 mAh cell. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Galaxy F62 debut with a similarly sized battery.
The Galaxy F41 is loosely based on the Galaxy M31 and has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, 64-megapixel triple rear-view camera and 4G LTE support. Given the larger number of the Galaxy F62 and following Samsung’s naming convention, the F62 is likely to be the company’s high-end F-series device for 2021. In that case, expect it to offer more powerful hardware and a higher price tag than its F41 sibling.
Per 91MobileThe Galaxy F61 is not expected to hit the market until the first half of 2021. In the meantime, if you’re looking for a budget Samsung smartphone, be sure to check out our top deals below.
