  • New details of the rumored Samsung Galaxy F62 have now become known.
  • The phone is said to have a 7,000 mAh battery with a 6.7-inch display.
  • It is unclear when the device will debut in India.

We first heard of an upcoming Samsung phone that advertised a massive battery late last year. It was rumored at the time to be nicknamed the Galaxy F62. Now a detailed spec leak has occurred which gives us a better idea of what hardware this phone can contain.

From the tipster Ishan Agarwal (via MySmartPrice) the headline of the Samsung Galaxy F62 will be a 7,000 mAh battery. Building on this, the phone will also have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. This appears to be tied to an Exynos 9825 SoC – the same silicon used by the Galaxy Note 10 series.

In terms of imaging, the Galaxy F62 will reportedly use a 64-megapixel primary snapper in its quad-rear array, while a 32-megapixel sensor will pull selfie tasks forward. Eventually the phone will start up with Android 11 and One UI 3.0 per leak.

Samsung first unveiled its Galaxy F series in India last year in collaboration with Flipkart. Though the line was originally billed as a camera-centric series for Gen-Z buyers, the Galaxy F62 suggests the company is also focusing on longevity and media consumption as it hires.

However, it is unclear when Samsung will launch the Galaxy F62 MySmartPrice believes it will be “soon”. The phone with the model number SM-E625F already has a support page on Samsung India indicating that an official debut is not too far away.

The Galaxy F62 probably won’t be Samsung’s only mid-range device launch this year. The company is also reportedly working on a new budget line of tablets, nicknamed the Galaxy Tab M62. While there’s no indication that these two devices share specifications, we wouldn’t be overly surprised if the Tab M62 has a massive battery too.
