Samsung is preparing to launch a new affordable F-series phone. The device, named Galaxy F22, was previously thought to be a renamed version of the Galaxy A22 4G, which launched in Europe some time ago. However, an official specification confirms that the Galaxy F22 will hit the market with a larger battery compared to the A-series phone.
Samsung’s F-series phones are primarily intended for the Indian market and the Galaxy F22 is no different. The company will launch the device in the subcontinent on July 6th, and a teaser page from the Flipkart e-commerce platform has confirmed the key specifications.

The Galaxy F22’s biggest draw will be its 6,000 mAh battery. In contrast, both the Galaxy A22 4G and 5G models have a 5,000 mAh power source.
Elsewhere, the Galaxy F22 will have a 6.4-inch HD + super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. A picture of the device shows that it will have a U-shaped notch in the middle.
The camera system will house a 48 MP primary sensor. On the back there are three more cameras in a square housing and a flash underneath. We don’t know the configuration of the other sensors, but if they’re the same as the Galaxy A22 4G, you can expect an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 2 MP macro shooter .
As for prices, the Samsung Galaxy F22 is expected to hit the market for under Rs 15,000 (~ $ 201). At that price, it will compete with offerings from Redmi and Realme in India.
