  • Samsung is apparently working on a pair of true wireless earbuds called the Galaxy Buds 2.
  • The new earbuds were mentioned in the code of the Galaxy Wearable app.

According to reports, Samsung is preparing a new pair of Galaxy Buds to expand the existing range of true wireless earbuds. An APK breakdown of the Galaxy Wearable app by Android police revealed that Samsung may be preparing the Galaxy Buds 2.

The Galaxy Wearable App is a bridge between Samsung’s wearables and cell phones. Every time the company launches a new wearable, it needs to update the app with support for that device. It makes all the more sense that the so-called Galaxy Buds 2 are in preparation.

The demolition also shows that the earbuds are code-named “Berry” and can connect to multiple devices. The Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Buds Plus, and Galaxy Buds Pro are also mentioned in the APK file, suggesting that the Buds 2 is actually a new pair and not related to older models.

In addition, the lines of code indicate that the Galaxy Buds 2 can connect to devices from other manufacturers.

Aside from the details above, there isn’t much to do. However, we expect the new Galaxy Buds to feature some of the Buds Pro’s hallmarks, including active noise canceling, wireless charging, and more.

We don’t know when the Galaxy Buds 2 will be launched. The Galaxy Buds Pro are pretty new, but Samsung still has a lot to unpack this year so we may see them in the months ahead.
