Samsung Galaxy Book Go laptops go official with Qualcomm chipsets

Samsung announced the Galaxy Book Pro series in April, its more serious laptop line with Intel CPUs and AMOLED screens. Now the company has introduced the Galaxy Book Go series, which is based on Qualcomm hardware.

The Galaxy Book Go is available in two variants, one limited to LTE support, the other with 5G. The former is powered by the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 SoC, while the 5G model will come across the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 chipset. There are also 4 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 128 GB eUFS memory and a 42.3 Wh battery. The latter is charged via a 25W USB-C fast charger.

Aside from silicon, both models have similar features and dimensions. There is a 14-inch TFT display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which is fused in a 14.9 mm thick shell. Overall, the Galaxy Book Go weighs 1.38 kg, which should be fine for frequent travelers.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go also gets a 720p webcam, Dolby Atmos support with its speakers, Wi-Fi 5 support and Bluetooth 5.1. As for I / O, two USB-C ports have a USB-A port, a headphone / microphone combo jack, a microSD card slot, and a nano SIM card slot.

Samsung only offers the Galaxy Book Go in Wi-Fi and LTE versions. Both will be available in “Select Markets” starting at $ 349. However, if you want the 5G model, you have to wait a little longer. Samsung advises that this product will not be available for “later this year”. All models are delivered in a silver color.
