  • Samsung could prepare a tri-fold tablet called the Galaxy Z Fold Tab.
  • The device is slated to hit the market next year.
  • It could include an improved S-pen and an improved ultra-thin glass.

Samsung could be working on a tri-fold tablet called the Galaxy Z Fold Tab, according to an exclusive report from Gizmochina. The publication sourced this information in collaboration with a tipster called Yogesh.

According to the leak, the tri-fold Samsung device will hit the market in the first quarter of 2022. Previously, information from China showed a picture of what the alleged Galaxy Z Fold Tab might look like. There was no way to prove its authenticity at the time, so we didn’t report it, but the leaked image looked pretty similar to the one in TCL’s zigzag-fold concept phone that you see in the image above.

The latest report also suggests that Samsung might tease this tri-fold device with the upcoming launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. The company’s marketing team is apparently considering the decision.

In addition to the unique folding display, the so-called Galaxy Z Fold Tab should also support a new S Pen and an improved ultra-thin glass (UTG). Unfortunately, the report doesn’t mention how the pen differs from its current shape. However, it is said that the new UTG and S Pen will be introduced with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3.

We’re not sure yet what to make of this latest leak. It doesn’t come from our usual, reliable sources, so we encourage our readers to take it with a pinch of salt. If such a device is actually in development, we expect to hear more about it from frequent Samsung tipsters in the coming months.
