Roku Streambar launched: A Roku in a soundbar

Roku offers a wide range of streaming products for a relatively low price. However, the company occasionally launches devices that yearn for more adept streaming solutions. Now the company has announced something more premium with the Roku Streambar.
Although it plays in the same niche as Roku’s longest range smart soundbar, the streambar is about $ 50 cheaper, starting at $ 130. For an all-in-one audio and video streaming solution that doesn’t seem like an overly high premium, even though the price of stickers is around $ 40 higher than the Roku Ultra.

Like the cousin of the smart soundbar, the streambar is also a soundbar with integrated video streaming smarts. It is compatible with any TV that has an HDMI port and a Roku remote control.
Roku Streambar for audio lovers
For audio lovers, the Streambar is Dolby Audio capable. It also includes Bluetooth and Spotify Connect support for streaming music from third-party devices. 4K streaming is also supported for videos, while Crisp Clear Dialogue can clear the audio from annoyingly loud commercials.
This little trick can also come in handy alongside the Roku Canal. The offer, which combines free and premium TV services, currently includes over 115 live and linear streaming partners. It is also said to have a special mobile app for Android and iOS that Roku customers can use to stream from phones and tablets.
In particular, support for Apple AirPlay and HomeKit will soon be available for Roku devices as well.
The Roku Streambar will be available from popular retail partners from “mid-October”. The Roku Channel apps will be available “soon” in the app stores.
