Roborock unveiled its latest robotic vacuum cleaner at CES 2021. The Roborock S7 improves home cleaning with intelligence to automatically switch between surfaces. It also comes with high-intensity mopping capabilities that can scrub your floors up to 3,000 times per minute to remove stubborn stains and grime.
Unlike many robotic vacuum cleaners, with the Roborock S7 you don’t have to set any barriers or zones for different surfaces. The company calls this its new “VibraRise Technology”. When mopping hard floors, the bot intelligently switches to vacuum cleaner mode when it detects carpeted surfaces. This allows the S7 to wipe and vacuum in a single cleaning session. The mop also lifts up when the S7 returns to its dock for charging, ensuring floors just cleaned stay clean.
However, if you want to set cleaning parameters, you can do this with the app included with the Roborock S7. You can also use a joystick mode to drive the robot cleaner wherever you want. The mop lift function can also be controlled manually via the app.

Elsewhere, the Roborock S7 has voice control functions. It works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri to register voice commands for added convenience. The battery life of the new model remains unchanged at 5,200 mAh and promises uninterrupted cleaning of up to three hours.
The Roborock S7 will be available March 24th on Amazon in the United States at a suggested retail price of $ 649. If that’s too expensive for you and you don’t want to wait until March, you can also buy the Roborock S6, which is currently selling for $ 419.
