Star Wars: The last Jedi director Rian Johnson chose the often criticized precursors of the science fiction saga. Johnson also linked the prequel trilogy to political issues, saying the films tweet, claim, fear and fascism in a Sunday evening.
“”[George] Lucas made a great 7-hour film for kids about how claim and fear of loss make good people fascists, “Johnson tweeted, adding that the original writer and director Lucas did so while making almost every technical change in the led modern filmmaking for the past 30 years. “
His tweet came in response to a question from a fan asking him to “say a really nice thing about the Star Wars prequels”.
The director also spoke highly of JJ Abram’s sequel to The Rise of Skywalker at the February Oscars and told MTV News that “it was a very special experience” to see the film.
Johnson will write a new Star Wars trilogy, although it is not known when the shooting starts.
