Star Wars: The last Jedi director Rian Johnson chose the often criticized precursors of the science fiction saga. Johnson also linked the prequel trilogy to political issues, saying the films tweet, claim, fear and fascism in a Sunday evening.
Lucas made a beautiful 7-hour film for children about how claims and fear of loss turn good people into fascists, and did so while leading almost every technical change in modern filmmaking over the past 30 years.

His tweet came in response to a question from a fan asking him to “say a really nice thing about the Star Wars prequels”.
The director also spoke highly of JJ Abram’s sequel to The Rise of Skywalker at the February Oscars and told MTV News that “it was a very special experience” to see the film.
Johnson will write a new Star Wars trilogy, although it is not known when the shooting starts.
