The Redmi Note series has long been one of Xiaomi’s most successful smartphone lines that does not break the bank. The phones in the series have historically been attractive in design, outstanding performance and unmatched value for money. Because of this, the next Redmi Note phones – the Redmi Note 10 series – are eagerly awaited.
Since last November there has been more and more talk about the Redmi Note 10 series. Xiaomi has also released a launch schedule for the phones so we thought now would be the best time to put together everything we know about the lineup.
Redmi Note 10 series name and release date
It is not difficult to predict the name of Xiaomi’s numbered Redmi Note series. Last year we had a number of devices under the Redmi Note 9 banner, and this year we expect the same from the Redmi Note 10 series.
Xiaomi India has also been teasing the upcoming phones lately, specifically saying that the Redmi Note 10 series will be released in March of this year.

Tipster Ishan Agarwal previously claimed that the Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro would be launched in India in February. Now that we know that won’t happen, the phones may be announced in mid-March. At this time, Xiaomi also launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max in India.
The company took over the previous Redmi Notes globally in April, and we expect the same launch process for the Redmi Note 10 series.
Technical data and features of the Redmi Note 10 series
The Redmi Note 10 phones meet high requirements. Teasers and rumors seem to suggest that they will do just that.
According to Xiaomi, the handsets will be the “smoothest ever”. The news suggests the series may finally start using high refresh rate screens. Last year’s Redmi Note 9 Pro and Pro Max continued with 60 Hz displays, while competitor Realme 6 Pro had already upgraded to a 90 Hz screen.
A leak in the XiaomiUI telegram channel suggests that at least the Redmi Note 10 Pro is finally switching to a 120 Hz LCD screen.
The same leak also revealed that the Pro model includes a 64-megapixel primary camera as well as ultra-wide, macro, and depth sensors. The global version is expected to come with NFC, but the phone may skip the feature in India.
In addition, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is said to contain the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset and a 5050 mAh battery.

Tipster Ishan Agarwal also offered some information on the two Redmi Note 10 models. Its leak suggests that the standard Redmi Note 10 will have two flavors: 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage. The Redmi Note Pro should be available in three variants: 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.
Not much else is known about the technical data of the new Redmi Note 10 series. However, we expect to learn more in the coming days.
Price and competition of the Redmi Note 10 series
Xiaomi needs to keep the Redmi Note 10 series at a competitive price to get similar value for money offerings from rival Realme. To this end, Leaker Ishan Agarwal claimed that Xiaomi would offer “fairly aggressive” prices in India.
Last year, the Redmi Note 9 Pro started retailing at Rs. 12,999 (~ $ 178) for the 4GB model, while the Note 9 Pro Max costs Rs. 16,999 (~ $ 233) for the standard version with 6 GB of RAM. We assume that the prices for the Redmi Note 10 series will remain at the same level as the predecessor.
Realme is also expected to launch its Narzo 30 line of phones in India soon. We believe they will adopt the Redmi Note 10 series in terms of specs and prices. Stablemate Poco also recently launched the M3 in India, which competes in the same price range.
We need to test these phones to see which of them offer the best performance in their class. In the meantime, please bookmark this page for future updates for Redmi Note 10 series.
