Xiaomi’s Redmi brand today unveiled several products at its event in China, highlighted by the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which is very different from other variants. The company also launched two other notable products, namely the Redmi Airdots 3 Pro and Redmibook Pro Ryzen Edition laptops.
Starting with the AMD-based Redmibook Pro series, we offer 14-inch and 15-inch versions with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSDs. The laptops also have built-in Radeon graphics and I / O options (two USB-C ports, one USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.2 port, one 3.5mm port, and one HDMI out). They also share a paltry 720p webcam, plus Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, and a built-in fingerprint scanner.
These Redmibooks differ mainly in terms of processor, display and battery. The 15-inch model has either a Ryzen 5 5600H or a Ryzen 7 5800H CPU, a 15.6-inch screen with 3,200 x 2,000 (90 Hz refresh rate, 16:10) and a 70 Wh -Battery pack. The 14-inch model offers either a Ryzen 5 5500U or a Ryzen 7 5700U CPU, a 14-inch screen with 2,560 x 1,600 (60 Hz, 16:10) and a 56 Wh battery.
The Redmi Airdots 3 Pro is Redmi’s first pair of true wireless noise-canceling earbuds (up to 35 decibels). In terms of design, you’ll see earbuds that resemble Redmi’s earlier sessile buds, as well as a charging case that’s more in line with the Pixel Buds case.
You can also expect low latency support of 69 milliseconds on supported devices, Bluetooth 5.2 support, and dual device pairing. According to Redmi, the earbuds should have around six hours of music playback time before charging, while the charging case offers a total of 28 hours of juice.
Redmi product prices
The RedmiBook Pro Ryzen models start at 4,299 yuan (~ $ 672) for the 14-inch base model, while you get a better processor at 4,699 yuan (~ $ 735). Do you prefer the 15-inch model? Then it starts at 4,799 yuan (~ $ 750) while 5,299 yuan (~ $ 829) also get you an updated chip.
Expect 299 yuan (~ $ 47) for the Redmi Airdots 3 Pro as part of an opening promotion, but otherwise it will cost 349 yuan (~ $ 55). This is available in black or gray.
There’s no word on the availability of any of these products outside of China, but hopefully they’ll hit global markets later this year.
