Red Magic Watch emerges, packs all the smartwatch bells and whistles
- Nubia’s Red Magic brand will launch a smartwatch.
- The Red Magic Watch is listed on an FCC listing and has a circular dial.
- It also includes heart rate and blood oxygen saturation sensors.
Nubia’s Red Magic is perhaps best known for its gaming smartphones, but it seems the company is ready to offer something for its customers’ wrists. A filing recently discovered by the FCC Android Authority suggests that the brand is preparing a smartwatch, namely the Red Magic Watch.
The Red Magic Watch is model number SW2102 and uses a more traditional, almost standard design for smartwatches with a circular face. It’s definitely not a continuation of the fancy Nubia Alpha or aesthetic match with Red Magic’s exuberant smartphones.
Red Magic Watch: Specifications and Features
The shelf shows the clock with two protruding knobs on the right side. Namely, these are for power and shortcut access. A 1.39-inch (454 x 454) touchscreen is housed in a chunky round bezel, while the ~ 13mm wide watch straps are pinned and secured in place. The watch is also waterproof to 5 ATM.

Wireless specifications include GPS, GLONASS, and QZSS location technology, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 LE support. The watch can be paired with devices with Android 4.4 or newer versions via the Red Magic Sports app.
According to the pictures it appears to be using a GigaDevice chip, but there is no mention of how much memory is available to the user. The Red Magic Watch also contains a geomagnetic sensor, an ambient light sensor, a gyroscope, and an accelerometer.
Fitness functions are also included. A heart rate sensor appears on the back of the watch but only records accurate details when the user keeps their wrist steady. A blood oxygen saturation sensor is also available. We assume this will be complemented by fitness tracking as well, but nothing in the submission specifically mentions this.
In terms of performance, a 420 mAh battery is charged via an included charging station. It reaches a speed of 2.5W but should be more than enough for most users.
There’s no word on when the Red Magic Watch might appear, but the presence of the nudes suggests an official launch might not be too far away.
