Realme X7 Max 5G launched: Mediatek-powered flagship hits India
Flagships operated by MediaTek were a rarity, though the company took over the chipset crown in 2020. Fortunately, Indian consumers can get their hands on one soon when Realme launches the X7 Max 5G.
The new phone is powered by a brand new Dimensity 1200 chipset with a tri-cluster octa-core CPU (1x Cortex-A78 at 3 GHz, 3x Cortex-A78 at 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A55 at 2 GHz) . The 6 nm processor also features the same Mali-G77 MP9 GPU as last year’s Dimensity 1000 series, 5G + 5G dual SIM capabilities, a hexa-core APU for machine learning and software-controlled ray tracing support.
The Realme X7 Max 5G also has a 6.43-inch 120 Hz OLED panel, 4,500 mAh battery and 50 W wired charging. The handset has a triple rear camera with a 64-megapixel main camera (IMX682), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Selfies are processed by a 16MP snapper.
Other notable features include a 3.5mm port, Realme UI 2.0 on Android 11, and two stereo speakers. As for the design, there is also a strip running across the device that includes the company’s branding. Fortunately, we don’t have a huge “Dare to Leap” slogan that runs across the entire back cover.
The Realme X7 Max 5G is priced at Rs 26,999 (~ $ 372) for the 8GB / 128GB variant, while the 12GB / 256GB model is Rs 29,999 (~ $ 414). Expect to find the phone in Asteroid Black, Mercury Silver, and Milky Way colors.
