Realme 7 series is heading to Europe with one key difference
- The Realme 7 series will be launched in Europe in October.
- Both Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro will initially be offered in the UK.
- However, there is one big improvement to the Realme 7 that you should be aware of.
After launching in India earlier this month, the Realme 7 series is heading to Europe. The brand’s two midsize companies – Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro – will hit the UK market in October with some notable differences between the two and their Indian counterparts.
As of the Realme 7, the Mediatek Helio G95 chipset from the Indian starter version will be retained, and the 6.5-inch LCD with a refresh rate of 90 Hz will also return. The phone’s 5,000 mAh battery can be charged using Realme’s 30W dart charging system. But the big change affects the camera department.
While the Realme 7 in India has a 64-megapixel primary camera on the back, the version going to the UK has a 48-megapixel sensor. The reason for the optimization isn’t immediately apparent, but it may be an offer from Realme to better differentiate the 7 and 7 Pro.
The European Realme 7 Pro retains the 64MP IMX682 primary camera and also includes a 32MP selfie snapper. Both are taken from the Indian starting version. A 6.4-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 720G chipset, and 4,500 mAh battery with 65 W SuperDart charge also restore their role on the 7 Pro. The latter is said to charge the battery in 34 minutes.
Aside from the snapshot provided by Realme, it’s not clear what else the brand has optimized for European audiences. We expect an 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP monochrome, and 2MP macro camera to complement the primary Snapper on both phones. It’s also likely that both will retain their headphone jacks, Wi-Fi 5 capabilities, and Bluetooth 5 support.
Realme will confirm further details of both phones during a virtual event on October 7th at 9:30 am GMT (5:30 pm ET). Expect pricing and availability details to follow.
