Razer rolls out ultra-sensitive Basilisk V3 mouse with four-way scrolling
TL; DR
- The Basilisk V3 is the latest wired gaming mouse from Razer.
- You can pan in four directions with the HyperScroll Tilt Wheel.
- The mouse has 11 buttons, customizable lighting and an ultra-fast optical sensor.
Razer announced its newest gaming mouse, the Basilisk V3, on Wednesday, which is highlighted by a four-way scroll wheel and an extremely precise optical sensor.
The former is known as the HyperScroll Tilt Wheel and allows users to scroll left or right instead of scrolling annotations XDA. With regular vertical movement, the wheel offers tactile, gentle or automatic modes. Smooth is self explanatory; tactile goes one step at a time and automatically switches between the previous two settings depending on how fast you are turning. Razer’s Synapse software allows users to toggle the extra acceleration for fast wheel movements.
The V3 is equipped with Razer’s Focus + optical sensor, which gives it a peak sensitivity of 26,000 dpi. Fortunately, this can be scaled back to avoid cursors flying around on your desktop. Further along this line, you can optimize the lifting area of the mouse to avoid inadvertent entries.
Some other perks include 11 customizable buttons, 11 lighting zones, and a 6-foot cord that is designed to prevent clutter.
