Recently Qualcomm announced its own high-end smartphone for the enthusiast market. The smartphone for insiders is said to be the optimal phone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC, with a Snapdragon 888 processor, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of RAM, and many other high-end hardware and software features. But how does this pricey phone compete in terms of performance with the older OnePlus 9, which also includes a Snapdragon 888 processor?
With the benchmark test software Speed Test G Android authority‘s Gary Sims has let the new Qualcomm smartphone for Insider Handy compete against the OnePlus 9. The final result? While it was close, the older OnePlus 9 won the overall standings with a time of 1 minute and 58.4 seconds. The Qualcomm handset was just 0.4 seconds behind.
While the OnePlus 9 set itself apart from the Qualcomm device by a full second in the CPU test, the Qualcomm phone won the mixed test by 0.4 seconds. In the GPU test, the Qualcomm phone beat the OnePlus 9 by just 0.1 seconds. However, it was not quite enough for the overall victory.
It looks like the Qualcomm phone made by Asus is a very fast handset, but the OnePlus 9 is just a tad faster.
