Possible Google Pixel 5a launch date leaks

- A new leak suggests that the Google Pixel 5a could launch on June 11, 2021.
- This information comes from Jon Prosser, a sometimes precise leaker.
- Prosser says he doesn’t know which Pixel phone might launch that day, but it would most likely be the 5a.
If you’re excited about the next Google Pixel phone, there is some information we can share with you. According to leaker Jon ProsserA new Pixel phone could hit the market on June 11, 2021.
Prosser claims not knowing which Pixel phone might launch that day. However, if the date is correct, it is almost certainly Google Pixel 5a. June is way too early for the Google Pixel 6 launch, and we don’t have any information to suggest another line of Pixels will be launched in 2021.

Unfortunately, Prosser doesn’t have an outstanding track record when it comes to leaked information like this one. The only reason we mention it is because its date is so specific. For example, in the same tweet in which he claims this new Pixel start date, he also says that a new set of Pixel Buds could land “in mid-April.” It doesn’t happen very often that Prosser erases a date as specific as the one he suggests for the Google Pixel 5a.
Still, the June 11th date is somewhat suspicious. It’s a Friday, and it’s not a typical day for this type of start. Google likes to release products earlier in the week. The Pixel 4a was launched on August 3, 2020, a Monday. Every Pixel phone previously started on a Tuesday. The only anomaly is the Pixel 5, which launched on a Thursday alongside the Pixel 4a 5G. So you can see how suspicious a start on Friday seems.
Regardless, we should see more leaks related to the Google Pixel 5a soon. We will see if this fails.
