Poll: Do you edit your smartphone photos?
Many smartphones take great photos without the need for editing, whether it’s a camera-focused flagship like the Sony Xperia 1 II or an affordable yet powerful device like Google’s Pixel 4a. It is tempting to make some changes, however, and not just for the sake of accuracy. Bold colors and polished filters can help make your phone photos stand out from others on social media and sometimes add fun to an otherwise simple picture.
However, there are several ways to edit your smartphone photos. You can just touch up your images lightly to fix mistakes and provide more vibrant colors, or you can use a detailed editor to turn your photos into imaginative art. And that assumes that you edit your photos first – you might be a purist who prefers to share photos in their original shape, quirks, and everything.
If you take snapshots a lot, a simple question arises: how do you usually edit photos on or from your phone? Do you do little besides cropping your footage, or do you spend ages refining your images before others see them?

It doesn’t matter which app you use to edit photos, just the effort and results you get. You can use the standard editing tools that came with your phone, a simple but free app, or a sophisticated creative tool that requires a subscription. You don’t have to edit on your phone either – you’re just as welcome if you’d rather edit your photos with a dedicated editing suite on your PC.
