Poll: Do you activate developer options on your phone?
Recognition: Andy Walker / Android Authority
You are probably familiar with the lists of settings on your Android smartphone, but there are many options that cannot be viewed. Android’s developer options menu is a good example.
When you enable it, all you need to do is tap the build number in the About section of your phone seven times. However, this simple process opens up several additional settings menus.
For starters, the developer options menu offers tweaks to the display’s DPI. The switch to turn the ADB on and off is also located here. If animations feel too sluggish on your phone, you can also adjust the speed and duration of the animation. Of course there are also other developer-specific settings. It’s also a fairly dense and convoluted series of menus for the uninitiated. In most use cases, it is unlikely that any of these options will be needed at all.
Are you enabling developer options on your Android phone? Let us know in the poll above.
