Poll data: How readers feel about the Google Pixel 5

Earlier this week, Google finally removed the Google Pixel 5, its newest flagship in the Pixel lineup. It also introduced the Google Pixel 4a 5G, a souped-up version of the Pixel 4a.

Android Authority Visitors love to read about Pixel phones – but do they really love buying them? We wanted to find out with two surveys. They gave us a measure of how excited you are about the pixels and whether or not you intend to buy one.

The first question we asked is as simple as it gets: is the Pixel 5 hot or not? There is no middle ground here so you have to either think the phone is exciting or boring. Here are the results:

The majority of our readers think that, overall, Google did an excellent job with the Google Pixel 5. Of course, almost 36% of you think the phone is just not good, but it seems that you are in the minority.

Next, we conducted a survey with a little more nuance. In this regard, we asked you whether you would like to buy the Pixel 5 or the Pixel 4a 5G. There were five possible answers:

• Yes, I am buying the Pixel 5.
• Yes, I am buying the Pixel 4a 5G.
• Yes, I buy both.
• No, I don’t buy either.
• I have not decided yet.

As it turns out, the majority of readers who responded to this survey plan to purchase at least one of the devices. Check the results below.

If you combine the three “yes, I’ll buy” answers, you get roughly 55% of the respondents who want to give Google some cash for a phone. If you include the nearly 15% of respondents who haven’t made up their minds yet, that’s nearly 70% Android Authority Respondents who are at least considering buying one of these phones. This is good news for Google!

Of course, there are still around 31% of respondents who don’t intend to buy a Google Pixel 5 or Pixel 4a 5G.
