Poll: Are you staying with Google Photos or switching?

We’re just a day away from Google Photos, removing unlimited high quality photo and video backups. Instead, users will have to pay for the service if they have more than 15GB of space for photo and video backups.

The first news was released in November 2020 and marked a big breakthrough for Google Photos after it introduced unlimited high quality backups in 2015. Now that the dust has settled from the announcement and we’re on the eve of the new policy, we want to know if you’ll be staying or switching. Let us know by voting in the poll below and leaving a comment if you have more to say.

There’s no denying that Google Photos is still a great photo backup service if you choose to stick with it. Sure, you only have 15GB of storage if you’re not looking to spend, but you get plenty of handy editing tools, smart categorization, and nifty sharing features.

We wouldn’t be surprised if some people decided to switch to a different service as there are some alternatives to Google Photos. Between OneDrive, Dropbox, and your own server, you don’t have to stick with Google if you don’t want to.
