Poco’s next budget phone will debut next week
- A new Poco phone is slated to hit the market later this month.
- The smartphone with the name Poco M3 will be presented on November 24th.
Another Poco smartphone will debut next week. According to a tweet from Poco’s global Twitter account, the Poco M3 will appear to be unveiled in China on November 24th at 8 p.m. CST (7 a.m. CET) in China.
Xiaomi’s brand revealed little else about the title of the Poco M3 bar. Judging by the company’s track record to date, it should be another rebranding. Poco only launched one original design in 2020.
It is unclear which Xiaomi phone can be used as a base. A Geekbench list discovered earlier today (h / t MySmartPrice) points to a new Xiaomi phone, model number M2010J19CG, running an Adreno 610 GPU with 4GB of RAM. The GPU can be part of a Snapdragon 662 chipset.
The phone is believed to be an emerging Redmi Note model for global markets. It should be mentioned that benchmarks are easily manipulated and should be taken with a pinch of salt. That is, it was the same model discovered Featured as Poco on Singapore’s IMDA certification page earlier this month.
Whatever it’s based on, Poco will likely want to keep the M3’s cost below the $ 200 mark. The more expensive version of the Poco M2 weighed 12,499 rupees (~ $ 170 US) at the time it was launched in India. It should be wagered above the Rs 8,999 (~ $ 123) Poco C3, however.
The brand will likely continue to focus on the M-series’ strengths, namely a large battery, multiple camera options, and a large display in an affordable case.
