Poco’s first 5G phone for India arrives next week

You don’t have to wait long if you are craving a Poco branded 5G phone for India. GSMArena reported that Poco is Start the M3 Pro 5G in India on June 8th via Flipkart. It is the first Xiaomi branded 5G phone for the country.

The M3 Pro is largely a renamed Redmi Note 10 5G, but that’s not a bad thing if you live in India and crave faster WiFi. The new phone from Poco offers a 6.5-inch 1080p display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz as well as an affordable Dimensity 700 chip and a large 5,000 mAh battery. You also get at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage, though the camera setup is unspectacular between the 48MP main sensor, 2MP macro camera, 2MP depth sensor, and front 8MP shooter.

Poco didn’t mention a price for the M3 Pro 5G before launching in India. However, Europeans pay 180 euros for the base model, which is around 16,000 rupees. While that wouldn’t make it the cheapest phone in the country, it could be good business for a respectable 5G device.

Keep in mind that the M3 Pro 5G is not your only choice in India. The Redmi Note 10 5G is practically the same phone. So it’s worth considering whether it’s available at a cheaper price. You can certainly find more powerful devices if you’re willing to spend more. If you’re a fan of Poco or just want an affordable 5G handset, this is probably more than enough.
