TL; DR
- Poco launched the Poco F3 GT in India.
- The phone competes with the OnePlus Nord 2 in terms of both price and technology.
- The device is aimed at mobile gamers with a 120 Hz AMOLED display, a 5065 mAh battery and gaming triggers.
A day after OnePlus launched the Nord 2 in India starting at a price below Rs 30,000, rival Poco also launched its competing phone in the form of the Poco F3 GT.
The device is a renamed version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which was launched in China back in April. It carries the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, just like the recently launched OnePlus Nord 2. However, it improves on the Nord’s 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED display with a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED Panel in connection with HDR 10 + support and DC dimming.
If you’re someone who prefers plastic phones for better durability, you may not appreciate the Poco F3 GT’s all-glass body. However, it has an aluminum alloy frame and Gorilla Glass 5 coating for added sturdiness. To complete the gaming aesthetic, the phone also features RGB light bulbs around the camera body. You can use them for gameplay, notifications, or as a loading indicator.

The Poco F3 GT also has two magnetic levitation triggers that are activated by sliding the physical slider on the phone. This makes the physical maglev buttons jump out of the box and increases the touch sampling rate of the display to 480 Hz. Players can then map the buttons to virtual buttons in their games.
In the imaging department, the Poco F3 GT gets a triple rear-view camera setup consisting of a 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2 MP macro shooter. The front houses a 16 MP snapper in a centered hole.
The package is powered by a sizeable 5,065 mAh battery with 67 W fast charge, which upgrades the 4,500 mAh battery of the OnePlus Nord 2 with a 65 W charge.
