- Huami introduced the Amazfit Pop in China.
- The new smartwatch costs around $ 52.
Huami has a reputation for providing affordable wearables with devices like the Amazfit Bip series and the Stratos family. Now the company is expanding its stable with the newly announced Amazfit Pop with another budget-oriented smartwatch.
The new smartwatch can now be pre-ordered in China (h / t: MySmartPrice), and you get a design that is clearly inspired by the Apple Watch. This means a square watch with rounded corners and a crown on the right side, but with silicone rubber straps.
The Amazfit Pop costs 349 yuan (~ $ 52), but you probably wouldn’t have said that if you had looked at the list of features first. Expect a 1.43-inch (320 x 302) color display, SPO2 sensor for blood / oxygen tracking, sleep tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, over 60 sport modes, and 5ATM water resistance.
Other notable features include 50 dialing options, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Huami’s PAI health rating system, notification mirroring, music / camera control, and up to nine days of endurance.
There’s no word on availability outside of China, but markets like India already have plenty of Amazfit smartwatch options to choose from. Looking for more smartwatch goodness? Then check out our rundown of the best smartwatches.
