PlayStation Store sale: 8 great PS4 games under $20
The PlayStation Store already has a lot of games on offer, but on Tuesday, Sony kindly (read: opportunistically) added a lot more. It contains the latest Call of Duty as well as some acclaimed games that you may have missed out on over the years. The best part is that they’re all under $ 20.
The sale starts on Wednesday and lasts for two weeks until May 13th. The full list can be found here. It contains a lot of fluff as well as some DLC packs. To save you the hassle of searching, below are our selections for the best games under $ 20.

If you’ve downloaded the free Call of Duty Warzone, you’ll be thirsting for more. If you missed last year’s Modern Warfare, the newest game in the franchise, you can buy it now for $ 19.79. You’ll get an entertaining campaign that you can break through over a weekend, and the deep (but harder than usual) online multiplayer mode that the Call of Duty is known for.

You now know what Assassin’s Creed is all about: an old society (in this case Egypt) that rubs with historical figures (ie commits and / or commits crimes) and explores the old world.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is almost three years old now, but it’s also a huge game in which you can immerse dozens and dozens (and dozens) of hours. For $ 15, that’s not a bad deal.

From AAA to indie darling. Dead Cells is a Metroidvania-style game – it gives you a mission, places you on a sprawling 2D map, and expects you to find out easily. Death is the beginning of this game and brings you back to life with new weapons but a completely new map.
Dead Cells won a number of awards when it was released in 2018 and received a 9/10 from Gamespot, our sister site. It’s totally worth $ 16.

It’s a stressful time. You may not want a complex game or virtual world to get lost. Maybe you just want to blow things up. If that sounds right, Far Cry 5 is for you.
The 2018 video game takes place in a fictional region of Montana and is clearly inspired by real-world politics. But don’t let that stop you: it’s still mostly about giving you a huge sandpit to explore, perform spectacular missions, and, as mentioned, blow up things.
Warner Bros.
Or maybe you want some more structured chaos. Hitman 2 is the sequel to Hitman from 2016, a revival of a PlayStation 2 era series. You get a goal and secretly take it out with your creativity. A classic formula, and it’s still a thrill.
Square enix
Here’s another comeback story. After an average decade in the 00s, Lara Croft is once again the star of an extraordinary action game series. It started with the 2013 Tomb Raider and was cemented by the 2015 Rise of the Tomb Raider. Don’t count out old Lara if you’re dissatisfied with the PS2 / PS3 era of Tomb Raider games. It is one that is worth playing.
Team 17
If you live with family or friends, this is an easy win. Overcooked is a fantastic game about teamwork. In it, you coordinate cooking and cleaning and at the same time avoid kitchen hazards. Health and safety at work, people, that is important.
It sounds simple – and it is – but it is also a lot of fun.
PUBG Mobile
Fortnite may have outperformed it as the hottest Battle Royale, but PlayerUnknown’s (PUBG) battlefields are still top notch. It is you, on an open card, against 99 other players. The last person standing wins.
You can play it for free on your phone, but it’s not really the same thing. And with a 50% discount is now better than ever to get a chicken meal.
